In many states, success is measured by how much your annual income is. Although not all may agree with that statement, household income does have a big part to play in our communities. From the schools built in our neighborhoods and the stores placed in our towns to the industry that our states attract and even the tax laws that are set into place.
In a recent study a list was compiled of the top 10 states in the US that have the highest household income. In fact, one of the states on our list happens to be the lowest taxed states in the nation, while another on our list happens to be one of the highest taxed states in the nation. Although the median annual household income in the United States is $53,046, the numbers on our list appear to be much higher!
