About Tim Kearin
Tim Kearin was born and raised in Southern California and attended the University of Arizona on an athletic scholarship. Upon graduation, he was commissioned in the U.S. Army and after several command and staff assignments was selected for graduate school at Indiana University.
Following graduation, Tim was assigned to the United States Military Academy at West Point where he was an instructor in the Physical Education Department and was involved in strength training research. After two years, he moved to the athletic department and became the Strength and Conditioning coach, directing the conditioning programs for 15 intercollegiate athletic teams.
After his seven-year assignment at West Point, Tim left the active army to become the Director of Preventative Medicine at the Hughston Clinic in Columbus, Georgia. One of his projects led to meeting Ken Blanchard and he followed ken to San Diego in 1986.
