About Alexandra Mysoor
Alexandra Mysoor is an accidental entrepreneur, having started two multi-million dollar businesses out of her home. She is currently incubating her latest business venture, Par Avion, out of Shanth Studio (www.shanth.com), an integrated digital retail studio.
Alexandra’s parents immigrated from India and grew up in the mid-west. She started her first company, a Digital PR agency, at the age of 24. After selling her business and having her first baby, Alexandra and her husband started Generation Orange, an online retail site selling natural products for babies and the home with minimal environmental impact out of their house and growing it to tens of millions in revenue run rate. She has been featured on NPR, San Jose Mercury News and was named CNBC’s International Young Turk 2008 for her success as a GenY entrepreneur, Inc Magazine name her a top entrepreneur to watch in 2011 and Huffington Post has named her a top 40 under 40 entrepreneur. She has also been a showcase speaker at numerous conferences including the Kaufmann Foundation Global Entrepreneurship Week, Digital Hollywood, Internet Retailer and is part of the Extreme Entrepreneurship Tour. Alexandra also serves on the board of Ideal Living, a multi-billion dollar direct response company. She recently finished filming a pilot for ABC Family entitled Mogulista. Alexandra holds a B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley in Interdisciplinary Field Studies and is a degree candidate in Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.
